The Verizon World of Apps Promotion (“Promotion”) is intended for participation in the 50 United States and District of Columbia only, and will be construed and evaluated only according to applicable laws within the United States. Promotion begins on or about June 13, 2017 at approximately 9:00 a.m. Eastern Time (“ET”) and ends on July 10, 2017 at 11:59:59 p.m. ET (“Promotion Period”). This Promotion consists of three separate sweepstakes (“Sweepstakes”) as follows: 1) Gillette Stadium Sweepstakes; 2) The Engadget Experience Sweepstakes; and 3) An Unforgettable Concert in L.A. Sweepstakes (each, a “Sweepstakes”).
Eligibility: The Sweepstakes are open to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia who are at least 18 years of age or the legal age of majority in the jurisdiction in which the entrant resides, whichever is greater, at the time of entry. Employees, officers and directors of Verizon Wireless (“Sponsor”) and of its parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, licensees, distributors, dealers, retailers, printers, advertising and promotion agencies, and any and all other companies associated with the Promotion (“Sweepstakes Entities”), and members of the immediate family (spouse, parent, child, sibling and their respective spouses, regardless of where they reside) or household (whether related or not) of any such employee, are not eligible to enter or win. Non-eligibility will result in disqualification.
How to Enter: During the Promotion Period, there are two methods to enter each Sweepstakes as follows:
Online Method: To enter online, as of the date of the entry, you must have a My Verizon Account and either be a (i) Verizon Fios customer or (ii) Verizon Wireless customer and you must be willing to opt-in to be part of Verizon Selects. Visit http://www.verizonwireless.com/promos/world-of-apps/ using a computer or internet-enabled mobile device and 1) log into your Verizon account; 2) sign up for the free Verizon Selects program (Verizon Wireless customers only); 3) accurately complete and submit the Promotion registration form including your full name, address, city, state, ZIP code, email address, phone number and select your customer type (Verizon Wireless, Verizon Fios or Both); 4) select the Sweepstakes you would like to be entered (you may select all three); 5) agree to the Official Rules and click the “submit” button. You will receive one entry for each Sweepstakes you choose. Data usage may apply if you are using your mobile phone to access the web form. All entries must be received by 11:59:59 p.m. ET on July 10, 2017.
Mail-In Method: If you do not have a My Verizon Account, are not a Verizon Fios or Verizon Wireless customer or if you do not wish to opt-in to be part of Verizon Selects, you may enter each Sweepstakes by legibly hand printing your name, mailing address, phone number, email address and name of the Sweepstakes you would like to receive an entry (i.e., Gillette Stadium Sweepstakes, The Engadget Experience Sweepstakes, and An Unforgettable Concert in L.A. Sweepstakes) on a 3" X 5" piece of paper. You may enter all three Sweepstakes, however, you must submit a mail-in entry for each sweepstakes separately and mail via first-class mail in a #10 envelope with proper postage as outlined below:

For your mail-in entry, you will receive one entry into the corresponding Sweepstakes. Each mail-in entry must be original and handwritten. Proof of submitting a mail-in entry is not proof of actual receipt by Sponsor or Administrator. All mail-in entries must be postmarked by July 10, 2017 and received by July 17, 2017.
Conditions Applicable to All Entries: Limit one entry per person per Sweepstakes regardless of entry method. Sponsor’s or Administrator’s computer is the official time-keeping device for the Promotion. All received entries become the sole property of Sponsor or Administrator, and receipt of entries may not be acknowledged. If Sponsor or Administrator learns that any individual has attempted to enter using false contact information or under multiple identities or has used any device or artifice to enter using multiple or false identities, that entrant will be disqualified and may be subject to discipline. The use of automated entry devices or any other conduct that impedes the integrity of the Promotion is prohibited. If there is a dispute as to the identity of an entrant, entry will be declared made by the authorized account holder of the telephone number/email address submitted at the time of entry. “Authorized account holder” is defined as the natural person who is assigned to a telephone number/email address by a telephone company, wireless service provider, internet access provider, internet service provider or other organization (business, educational, institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning email addresses, telephone numbers or wireless phone numbers for the telephone exchange associated with the submitted telephone number/email address or the domain associated with the submitted telephone, as applicable. Lost, illegible, or incomplete entries will be deemed ineligible and disqualified. Sponsor and any advertising and promotional agencies involved with the Promotion, and their respective parents, subsidiaries and affiliates and all of their directors, officers, employees, shareholders and agents (collectively, the “Promotion Entities”) are not responsible for late, lost, incomplete, unintelligible, misdirected, postage-due, stolen or damaged entries, all of which will be disqualified, or for technical, hardware, software or telephone malfunctions of any kind, lost or unavailable network connections, or failed, incorrect, incomplete, inaccurate, garbled or delayed electronic communications caused by the sender or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Promotion that may limit the ability to play or participate, or by any human error that may occur in the processing of the entries in the Promotion or other failures of any sort, fire, epidemic, explosion, act of God, riot or civil disturbance, war, terrorist threat or activity, any federal, state or local government law, or any other cause not reasonably within Promotion Entities’ control. Promotion Entities are not responsible for printing errors in these Official Rules. By entering any of the Sweepstakes, you agree to be bound by these Official Rules and by the decisions of the Promotion Entities, which will be final and binding.
Drawings (3): On or about July 20, 2017, one potential prize winner will be selected for each Sweepstakes in a random drawing from among all eligible entries for that Sweepstakes, subject to verification of eligibility and compliance with these Official Rules. The random drawings will be conducted by an independent judging organization whose decisions are final on all matters relating to the drawings.
Odds of Winning: Depends upon the number of eligible entries received for each Sweepstakes.
Prizes: One Grand Prize per Sweepstakes, which are as follows:
Gillette Stadium Sweepstakes Prize consists of: a three-day/two-night trip for winner and one guest to a professional football game in Foxboro, MA on September 7, 2017 (“Game”). Trip package consists of roundtrip, coach class air transportation for winner and winner’s guest from a major U.S. gateway airport nearest winner’s home (determined by the Sponsor and Administrator in its sole discretion) to a major U.S. gateway airport nearest Foxboro, MA; two nights’ standard accommodations at a hotel to be determined by the Sponsor and/or Administrator (standard room, double occupancy); two tickets to the a professional football game on September 7, 2017 (section and seat location at the sole discretion of the Sponsor and subject to terms and conditions thereon); roundtrip ground transportation to and from the airport and hotel, and hotel and the Game; and $600 spending money awarded in the form of a gift card for winner only (gift card terms and conditions apply). Winner must be able and willing to travel between September 6, 2017 and September 8, 2017. Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”) of prize is $3,978.
Engadget Experience Sweepstakes Prize consists of: a three-day/two-night trip for winner and one guest to the Engadget’s Art & Tech event in Los Angeles, CA on November 16, 2017 (“Engadget”). Trip package consists of roundtrip, coach class air transportation for winner and winner’s guest from a major U.S. gateway airport nearest winner’s home (determined by the Sponsor and/or Administrator in its sole discretion) to Los Angeles, CA; two nights’ standard accommodations at a hotel to be determined by the Sponsor and/or Administrator (standard room, double occupancy); two tickets to Engadget (tickets are subject to terms and conditions thereon); roundtrip ground transportation to and from the airport and hotel and hotel and Engadget; and $600 spending money awarded in the form of a gift card for winner only (gift card terms and conditions apply). Winner must be able and willing to travel between November 15, 2017 and November 17, 2017. ARV of prize is $4,100.
An Unforgettable Concert in L.A. Sweepstakes Prize consists of a three-day/two-night trip for winner and one guest to STAPLES Center in Los Angeles on August 12, 2017 (“STAPLES Center”). Trip package consists of roundtrip, coach class air transportation for winner and winner’s guest from a major U.S. gateway airport nearest winner’s home (determined by the Sponsor and/or Administrator in its sole discretion) to Los Angeles, CA; two nights’ standard accommodations at a hotel to be determined by the Sponsor and/or Administrator (standard room, double occupancy); two tickets to the concert at STAPLES Center (ticket section and seat location at the sole discretion of the Sponsor and are subject to terms and conditions thereon); roundtrip ground transportation to and from the airport and hotel, and hotel and STAPLES Center concert; and $600 spending money awarded in the form of a gift card for winner only (gift card terms and conditions apply). Winner must be able and willing to travel between August 11, 2017 and August 13, 2017. ARV of prize is $3920.
Actual value of each Sweepstakes prize may vary based on airfare fluctuations and distance between departure and destination. If winner lives within 100 miles of the destination airport, winner may be provided ground transportation in lieu of air transportation. If actual ARV is less than stated ARV, difference in prize value will not be awarded.
Flights and accommodations subject to availability. Certain restrictions, blackout dates and holiday exclusions may apply other than stated herein. All travel must be made through Sponsor’s or Administrator’s agent and on an airline carrier of Sponsor or Administrator’s choice and must be completed on the days designated by the Sponsor or Administrator. Winners and travel companions are solely responsible for obtaining valid U.S. passports (if required) and any other required travel documents, including, but not limited to, acceptable photo identification. Failure to do so will result in forfeiture of prize, and an alternate winner may be selected, time permitting. Air travel is not changeable and not valid for upgrades and/or frequent flyer miles. Winner may be required to present at least one valid major credit card in order to check into accommodations. Sponsor will not be responsible for any cancellations, delays, diversions, or substitution or any act or omissions whatsoever by the air carriers, hotels or any other persons or entities providing any of the prize elements or services. All airline tickets are subject to flight variation, work stoppages and schedule or route changes. Lost, stolen or damaged airline tickets, travel vouchers or certificates will not be replaced or exchanged. Sponsor will not be responsible for weather, acts of God, acts of terrorism, civil disturbances, strike or any other natural disaster outside its control that may cause the cancellation or postponement of the prize trip, and the terms and conditions of the airline tickets will govern in such event. Any costs or expenses not specified above as part of prize description, including without limitation, additional air transportation and accommodations, additional ground transportation, meals, tips, gratuities, beverages, sightseeing, souvenirs, excursions, additional baggage fees, incidentals and personal items are not included. Prize details and availability are subject to change, in which case a prize (or portion thereof) of equal or greater value will be substituted at Sponsor’s sole discretion. Prizes are not transferable or assignable. No substitutions or cash redemptions, except at the sole discretion of the Sponsor. All taxes not specified herein are the responsibility of the winners. Winners and guests are solely responsible for obtaining any travel insurance (and all other forms of insurance, including, but not limited to, collision and liability automobile insurance) at their option and hereby acknowledge that Sponsor has not and will not obtain or provide travel insurance or any other form of insurance. Once the guest name is communicated to Sponsor, that guest may not be changed or substituted, except in Sponsor’s sole discretion. Winner and their guest must travel together on the same itinerary.
Claiming Prizes: Prize claims are subject to verification by the Sponsor and Administrator. Sponsor or Administrator will attempt to notify potential winner via phone and/or overnight mail using the information provided at the time of entry approximately one business day from the date of the drawing. Winner and guest (or guest’s parent or legal guardian if guest is a minor) must complete, sign and return the Affidavit of Eligibility, Waiver of Liability and, except where prohibited by law, Publicity Release Forms within five business days of prize notification or prize may be forfeited. (TN residents need not sign Publicity Release.) Guest (and parent or legal guardian if guest is a minor) must sign a Travel Companion form within seven days of winner’s receipt of written prize notification. If the guest is a minor, they must be accompanied by their parent or legal guardian.
For any prize with an ARV of $600 or more, Sponsor or Administrator is required by law to issue an IRS 1099-MISC Form that will be prepared in the winner’s name and submitted to the IRS for the value of the winner’s prize. Sponsor or Administrator will cause a copy of any submitted 1099-MISC Form to be sent to winner’s last known address. All properly claimed prizes will be awarded provided a sufficient number of eligible entries are received in each Sweepstakes, but in no event will more prizes be awarded in any Sweepstakes than are provided for in these Official Rules. Unclaimed prizes will not be awarded. If a printing or other error leads to more prize claims than there are prizes provided for in the Official Rules, prizes will be awarded in a random drawing from among all eligible prize claims received for that Sweepstakes. In the event of noncompliance with these Official Rules, if winner fails to sign and return required documents by the deadline required by Sponsor or Administrator, if prize notification or attempted notification is returned as undeliverable, if Sponsor or Administrator does not receive timely response to prize notification or if a prize winner declines prize offered, prize will be forfeited, and an alternate winner may be chosen by Sponsor or Administrator from the remaining eligible, non-winning entries for that Sweepstakes if time permits as determined by Sponsor and Administrator in their sole discretion. By participating in any of the Sweepstakes, all entrants acknowledge compliance with and agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of Sponsor and/or Administrator which are final in all respects. The potential prize winners must meet all eligibility requirements set forth in these Official Rules to receive prize.
Termination: If, for any reason (including, without limitation, infection by computer virus, bugs, worms, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other cause beyond the reasonable control of the Promotion Entities that corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Promotion), the Sponsor cancels, terminates, modifies or suspends this Promotion, Sponsor or Administrator will select the prize winners by random drawing from among all eligible, non-suspect, non-winning entries received prior to termination in each Sweepstakes, or as otherwise deemed fair and appropriate by the Sponsor and/or Administrator. If Sponsor and/or Administrator does so, Sponsor and/or Administrator will post notice of its action at http://www.verizonwireless.com/promos/world-of-apps/ .
Personal Information. Any personal information supplied by you to the Sponsor will be subject to Sponsor’s privacy policy posted at http://www.verizon.com/about/privacy/full-privacy-policy and terms of service posted at http://www.verizonwireless.com.
General: By accepting a prize, the winner grants to the Promotion Entities the right to use winner’s name, likeness, image, voice, hometown and biographical information in advertising, trade and promotion, including on the internet or via wireless application protocol, without further notice, compensation or permission, except where prohibited by law. Government employees who win a prize may be subject to ethics and gift rules of their jurisdiction.
By entering, entrants and winners, on behalf of themselves, their executors, heirs and assigns, agree to release, waive and hold harmless Promotion Entities from any and all injuries, claims, damages, losses, costs or expenses of any kind (including without limitation attorney’s fees) resulting from the entrants’ participation in the Sweepstakes, their acceptance, use or misuse of any prize or element thereof, and any travel or event-related activity in connection with the Sweepstakes. Neither the failure of Sponsor and/or Administrator to insist upon or enforce strict performance of any provision of these Official Rules or the failure, delay or omission by Sponsor and/or Administrator in exercising any right with respect to any term of these Official Rules, will be construed as a waiver or relinquishment to any extent of Sponsor and/or Administrator’s right to assert or rely upon any such provision or right in that or any other instance. If there is a conflict between any term of these Official Rules and any entry or marketing materials used in connection with this Promotion, the terms of the Official Rules will govern.
Sponsor and/or Administrator reserves the right to disqualify any individual from further participation in the Promotion if Sponsor and/or Administrator concludes, in its sole discretion, that such person: (a) has attempted to tamper with the entry process or other operation of the Promotion; (b) has disregarded or has attempted to circumvent these Official Rules; (c) has committed fraud or attempted to undermine the legitimate operation of the Promotion; or (d) has acted toward any Promotion Entity or any other entrant in an unfair, inequitable, annoying, threatening, disrupting or harassing manner. Tampering includes attempting to enter more than the number of times permitted herein, including through the use of any prohibited device or method. If a dispute arises regarding compliance with these Official Rules, Sponsor and/or Administrator may consider, in its sole discretion, data reasonably available to Sponsor and/or Administrator through information technology systems in Sponsor’s control, but Sponsor and/or Administrator will not be obligated to consider any data or other information collected from any other source.
By entering any of the Sweepstakes, entrants agree that: (a) any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of or connected with the Sweepstakes, or any prizes awarded, will be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action; (b) any and all claims, judgments and awards will be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering the Sweepstakes but in no event attorneys’ fees; and (c) under no circumstances will any entrant be permitted to obtain any award for, and entrant hereby waives all rights to claim punitive, incidental or consequential damages and any and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased and any other damages, other than for actual out-of-pocket expenses.
Some jurisdictions do not allow for limitations on the ability to pursue class action remedies or certain kinds of damages, and so these limitations may not apply to you. This Promotion will be governed by the laws of the State of New York, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules or provisions that would cause the application of any other state’s laws. Venue for any action concerning the Promotion or these Official Rules will be in the state or federal courts located in New York County.
Winner Name: You may request the name of the winner of a Sweepstakes by sending a self-addressed, stamped envelope with the name of the Sweepstakes on the envelope and addressed to: Momentum Worldwide, Attn: Compliance Department, 1831 Chestnut St, 7th Floor, St. Louis, MO 63013. Requests must be received no later than August 31, 2017. You must submit each request separately.
